THE MISSIONARIES was the very first Castalia Library book and it sold out before we even managed to get it bound. We chose it for the first book because a) it is very, very funny, b) we consider it to be one of the best books that Castalia House ever published, and c) it wasn’t something that Franklin, Easton, or Folio had ever done.
So today is the first time since early 2020 that Castalia Library and Libraria Castalia collectors can fill in the blanks in their collection.
As you can see in the above image, we utilized different colors than the original green and brown leathers to distinguish the editions, but exactly the same cover stamp to ensure that the books will match the others on the shelves. The one difference is that the first edition books had a production flaw; the endpapers were very thin as they were erroneously printed in color, from which we learned one very important lesson: do not have the color-blind guy be responsible for checking out the final print-ready PDFs. So, due to the thicker endpapers, the new editions are a little more solid and will not be liable to having a little extra glue leak through at the edges.
We fixed the one or two typos in the first editions, and as a hallmark of the care with which we reproduced the new editions, we even added the blind debossed logo on the back that we stopped using for the Library after the second book. We are contemplating bringing it back now that we have our new Lego et Amo logo, but we’ll have to see how it looks before we make a final decision.
The 2nd Edition of THE MISSIONARIES is now available at the Arkhaven store and at NDM Express.

Any chances for a 2nd edition of Rethoric?
I liked the embossed logo on the library books. Obviously wouldn't make sense for libraria, but it is a good look and feel on the library. Also gives an appreciation for the depth of the leather, showing it is not the cheap bonded leather used in most leather books these days.
